Course Overview

This course aims to further enhance users’ Process Simulate skills. The training course will help users who have already taken the Process Simulate essential training, or users who have equivalent experience, to learn more about the advanced features in Process Simulate, such as Property Sensor, AGV, and Path Templates.

The course will also revisit the topics that were introduced in essential training, such as the Material Flow and Conveyors, but with some more advanced usage. After completing this training, users will be able to use Process Simulate at an advanced level. 

 

Prerequisites

  • Basic computer skills: Windows OS, MS-Office, Internet Browser, etc. 
  • Basic CAD and Math skills.
  • Process Simulate essential skills.

Training Objectives

  • Familiarize designers with advanced techniques for using Material Flow in complex processes. 
  • Develop proficiency in advanced conveyor configuration and control within Process Simulate. 
  • Introduce the use of Property Projectors and Property Sensors for enhanced simulation performance. 
  • Provide basic methods for implementing Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in Process Simulate. 
  • Teach the use of path templates to modify and optimize robot tool paths.

 

 

Course Schedule

Our Tecnomatix Process Simulate Advanced Training is categorized into 4 sections (~6-hours):

Section 1 

  • Review the training project. 
  • Integrate sub-part life cycles into Material Flow. 
  • Configure skid generation and destruction controls for conceptual conveyors.

Section 2 

  • Add Properties and create Property Projectors. 
  • Create Property Sensors for simulation control. 
  • Set signal controls for Property Projectors.

Section 3 

  • Define AGV and AGV target locations. 
  • Configure signal controls for AGV actions. 
  • Enable AGV to send parts based on Part Type.

Section 4 

  • Create a calibration operation in Process Simulate. 
  • Upload the reference calibration path to the system. 
  • Perform calibration to validate accuracy.
